Strong Minds is a substance abuse and behavioral therapy agency that serves adolescents, adults and families. Our service is centered on providing a therapeutic and safe environment for clients. We feature a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of highly-trained substance abuse and mental health counselors/therapists to assist individuals or groups that need substance abuse or behavioral therapy services.

Substance Abuse Counseling

At Strong Minds, we have trained experts who understand how to best handle substance abuse and help our clients regain sobriety. Our goal is to help clients become emotionally stable, more independent, and learn coping skills to prevent relapse.

A person suffering from both a mental health issue and a substance use disorder is said to have a co-occurring disorder. Strong Mind’s co-occurring treatment is focused on giving help to people suffering from these. Instead of treating both separately, Strong Minds offers integrated care.

We assist adolescents dealing with addiction, peer pressure, anxiety, depression, stress, anger and other issues, individually and in groups. Coping mechanisms are taught. Support is provided for parents and families, including how to recognize signs of substance use and to appropriately discuss these.

With the impact of Covid, as well as the increase in substance use of adolescents, Strong Minds is putting an emphasis on helping parents who are dealing with these. A group will be offered to parents to address how to determine if their children are abusing substances and how to best discuss this with them.

Strong Minds offers a safe and supportive environment for those seeking assistance to stay clean and sober and to maintain lifelong sobriety with little to no out of pocket cost. We provide a home environment coupled with substance abuse therapy and group counseling. Mental health therapy is also available to our residents.
